Tylar Lee

Pastor

Reverend Tylar Lee is a John Brown University alumnus with a degree in Christian Ministry and a recent graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary, where he earned his Master of Divinity with a concentration in Anglican Studies. He is an ordained deacon in the Global Methodist Church and is currently pursuing ordination as an elder, while also working toward a Master of Teaching.

Tylar’s passions include Patristics, Church History, and Sacramental Theology. A self-described theology and literature geek, he loves reading across every genre. Inspired by the Inklings, he hopes to one day write and publish a novel of his own — and will happily talk theology, church history, or any kind of book over coffee.

He is passionate about forming disciples rooted in Scripture, shaped by the historic Church, and equipping them to go into the world as lights in the darkness. He loves meeting new people and considers it a joy to walk alongside others in their faith journey. Tylar has been married to his wife Sarah for eight years, and together they have two wonderful daughters, Grace and Nora.

Joseph Seale

Church Lay Leader

Joseph is a native of Nowata, where he has lived all but three years. He currently resides here with his wife, Cheyenne, and their two children.

His roots in this community go back several generations, including his great-grandfather James Strickland, who owned a pharmacy business, his grandfather Jack Southall who owned a veterinary clinic, and his mother Jill Seale who served this community as a nurse for decades.

Joseph grew up in this church. He loves this church and community. He enjoys his Bible, spending time with his family, genealogy, church history, and history in general.
